I worked at North Faces Flagship store in the heart of Auckland over the Christmas period. My job required
a high knowledge of all TNF products and their technology. Creating and making sales required excellent
communication and interpersonal skills due to the premier apparels high price tag. Attention to detail was
key when when working on the shop floor, along with an overall love and passion for the sports and elements too ensure TNF exceptional customer brand service was provided and maintained. Daily we

I worked at Cardrona alpine resort, one of the biggest, busiest ski fields in the South Island, as a lift
attendant. Daily I handle and operate heavy machinery and am responsible for the safety and well being of our high paying guests. My role is to ensure every chair is efficiently, correctly and above all safely loaded
and unloaded. I work in all kind of weather conditions, as a result- love and enjoyment for the outside is a
must! While at work I provide physical assistance to guests when and where required, maintain all
operational aspects of my assigned lift (ramp, mazes and general aesthetics of the lift) and provide guests with a friendly knowledgable attendant!

I worked at Munchies, a high end restaurant in the heart of the bustling world famous ski town, Chamonix
Mont Blanc. Munchies is a fast pace, Japanese infusion, multi lingo restaurant and bar where many locals and tourists would avidly try to book. My team was a mixture of French, Swedish and English employees
working for a high end Swedish chef and owner. My daily job role would be taking orders and serving food and drinks to high paying guests with as high expectations. Starting the job with little French ability meant
I quickly had to immerse myself into learning and taking orders from French customers. By the end happily
serving and creating small conversation in French. Our kitchen consisted of three chefs who would do two
full seatings most evenings, serving 130-150 covers and preparing 170-250 plates with 4 waitresses on the
floor. Between 7 and 11 service would be in full flow. I had to have high customer awareness to be able to tailor make a 'perfect' evening for each paying guest. Verbal communication between myself and the other
floor staff was imperative along with initiative, to hold our own throughout the night due to the high
number of orders and fast pace required. We had regular food tastings before and after shifts to insure we
knew the menu inside out to be able to provide the best possible dining experience.
