Production Planner and Export Co-Ordinator
Monty's Bakehouse.
Full operational management of the largest of Monty's Bakeries, servicing 12 airlines with frozen handheld snacks. With 10,000 cases per week production volumes over 3 manufacturing lines. Responsible for the weekly production plan for a 52-week horizon and the daily production scheduling. Export Co-Ordinator for the Qatar Doha account, managing the full export schedule. Including container bookings and loadings, shipping documents and export certificates.
Responsibilities and achievements:
• Lead the Weekly planning project which moved the daily production scheduling from Head Office to the local manufacturing site (Bakery). The new weekly planning report was automated, simplified and system generated. Created and mapped new process, writing the new Standard Operating Procedure. This project delivered a 20% decrease in the planning time.
• Re- structured the production planning principles to enable producing the Qatar Doha stock early. Enabling QA releases 5 days before loading and early communication of the batch loading details for Doha QA. This improvement delivered the achievement of the contractual QA element of the Standard Operating Procedure for Monty s largest customer.
• Implemented full inventory control of Monty s UK cold store including BBE, capacity and aged stock management. This delivered a 15% reduction in aged stock for the Qatar Doha account, allowed for QA batch release prioritisation and improved stock control.
