As a consultant I developed an inflight dashboard and heatmap reports for detail to show critical business changes based on sales performance and social media engagement. Any immediate changes to trended data signalled a rag status to prompt action to maintain growth targets.

Working with the Head of Insights and Data as a Power BI Consultant to establish best practice and develop a structure for their Business Intelligence reporting developed using Power BI. Development of Power BI Dashboards and Reports to feed into the Power BI Apps relevant to the different functions within the organisation. For example, a critical report provided a means to act as an alarm system for the status of the overnight automated server activity, i.e. backup, ETL actions. If an alarm was triggered an email could be sent so first priority next day would be to manually backup data to avoid data loss. This gave an inflight view of the operational activity within the report itself detailing why and when the alarm had been triggered.
In addition Data Analysis to help the business understand its website data by designing new tables within the existing data warehouse using SSMS with SQL Server to be utilised by Power BI. Setting up an academy within the Insights team to deliver a fully self-service environment to allow different teams to perform their own analysis.

The project involved working with the Senior Exec team to define requirements of the financial models and consequently manage millions of mobile connection and payment records to understand where the gaps existed for the commission based on the agreed commercial terms. Developed using T-SQL in Access, Power Query for the ETL and Excel for the reporting element. In compiling the dataset analysis could be developed to provide marketing with propensity models, aid the management accountant team in performing the audit, and develop a sales reserve forecast.

In addition, a Pay Review Management tool with statistical modelling that enables the employee appraisal exercise to be completed smoothly and provides powerful information to illustrate how percentage adjustments affect the bottom line.
