I'm offering
I think there are some truths that are fundamental to running great events which should never be forgotten. Have a plan, have a back-up, do risk assessment, pay attention to the details, treat clients, guests and suppliers with respect and kindness, try to see other peoples' point of view, keep a sense of perspective and most of all keep calm and be positive.

Background information.
For many years before I became involved in events, I have lived and or worked in a variety of locations, which have helped me understand that different cultures have different ways of working and each presents its' own unique challenge. These places have included Libya, Saudi Arabia,
Indonesia, France, Greece, Switzerland, Morocco and Bulgaria when it was still a communist state.
After graduating with a degree in English and History, I spent five years working overseas for tour
operators in both summer and winter. As training for working in event operations this was most
useful as you learn to deal with people face to face and find imaginative solutions to changing
circumstances with no budget to fall back upon.
