UX / UI Design Consultant > Lead Product Design Consultant
Hermes.
When I was initially instructed at Hermes I conducted a heuristics review of their current website and their
new proposed website which had been initially developed by a third party vendor. I highlighted areas of improvement from a UX and UI persepctive. I gained valuable insight as I worked with the CX department,
developers, project teams and stakeholders. I then presented back my findings on the key areas for
improvement to the business whilst focusing on user satisfaction and conversions.
With the migration of the new Hermes site I have been fortunate to work on a project where I have been able to demonstrate ROI and the value of good UX. Working as a design team we have been able to conduct
workshops with stakeholders, user testing sessions with actual Hermes users whilst feeding this back into the
project lifecycle and presenting the value of UX across the company.
As a consultant I have promoted the importance of; and shown how the company would benefit from a single
source of truth. I gained stakeholder buy-in and implemented a design system using Sketch whilst adhering to an Atomic design methodology. This has allowed us as a UX team to version control our designs whilst
ensuring scalability of re-useable components within the eco-system. As this evolved, so did the team and
we were able to have dedicated developers implementing our patterns into a working component library that
each squad within the business can use.
