I trained as medical doctor and completed 3 years of specialty training. However, I was always more passionate about mathematics and statistics and decided to change career and become a biomedical statistician.
A master's and a PhD later, I did some research in causal inference and then started working in the biotech and pharma industries doing machine learning and predictive analytics.
I have extensive experience in statistical methods and applied clinical research, epidemiology and real-world evidence.
I also have experience working in multi-OMICs data (e.g. NGS, RNA-seq, metabolomics).
My experience in medicine has been essential in my work both to understand the needs of the people who need support with statistics and to communicate the results and findings of my analyses. I enjoy understanding the clinical problems that are brought to me and transform them into statistical challenges.
