job
researcher, fundraiser and trustee of The Silent Bleed, the charity
unknown.
Office administration (1992 to 1998): Taking care of the heart of a number of firms and organisations, eventually moving sideways into writing and marketing each time.
Beyond work:
Charity: I'm a researcher, fundraiser and trustee of The Silent Bleed, the charity for people
with the rare neurological disorder Superficial Siderosis: www.thesilentbleed.co.uk.
Blog: Still a work in progress and due an overhaul this year, I occasionally find time to write
about things I care about: women's fitness, plus-size politics, family, food and nature. For
more visit www.queenofsmallthings.co.uk.
The novel: Once a year I retreat to a loft room somewhere deep in rural Dordogne to write
my novel about love, loss and peaches. I will finish it this year.
Outside: Whether cycling, running, walking or working my allotment, I'm never bored when
I'm out-of-doors. I disappear back to my home in Cornwall a few times a year to visit my
family.
Outlook:
Powerful, uplifting words are at the heart of what I do. I love immersive, solo work but also
evolving ideas with a team of creatives and I've a knack for turning intriguing, radical, out-
there ideas into eye-catching but natural-sounding copy. Wherever I am, there's a notepad to hand because I love, above all things, to write.
I take client confidentiality and NDAs very seriously, so if you have a specific interest in my
work, I'm happy to share my broad portfolio with you in person.
