While on the BP RO Offshore Team i also attended a laser scanning survey course for the operation & use of the Leica ScanStation P20, which now enables me to be confident to take detailed point cloud scans of areas and tie in points and the ability to stitch all the scans to together to make a 3D Asbuild 3D Point Cloud.
The point cloud is used to measured off accurately and is an essential tool for clash detection.
Various scans i have carried out :-
• BP kinneal site, Grangemouth Scotland Onshore, (Full detailed scan of the affluent water system).
• BP Magnus platform (OffShore) various RO project scopes.

I was working on the Shell ISC project, i first started my time helping out senior designers on there scopes producing isometrics, pipe supports and destruct isometrics all on PDMS and learning how the administration works along side this also like issuing drawings, the Rev procedures etc.
Soon after i was given a PDMS Design job to run a glycol line the full length of a FPSO, taking into account all design procedures and all potential support points along the run. I also had the opportunity to go out and survey my route offshore which was great experience for me and gave me a great appreciation of all design parameters.
