My experience
2008 - ?
freelance
Senior Graphic Designer
Various.
In January of 2008 I turned freelance with a view to experiencing new ways of working and improving my skills. Since then I have had successful stints at a number of successful agencies including Elvis, Iris and Geometry Global. I have contributed to a wide range of projects for clients such as Sony, Rothmans, Philips, United Biscuits and Wrangler, including the development of launch materials to accompany Fallon’s ‘Foam City’ ATL for Sony’s digital imaging products.
In early 2009 I worked at DDA in Fulham as lead creative on worldwide advertising and marketing materials for The British Virgin Islands Tourist Board. I have enjoyed spells at Elvis working for a variety of clients and Arnold KLP as part of their Nokia team, gaining experience of writing and art directing TVC in the process. Most recently I have balanced working from home for my own clients, with stints at Purple, Grand Central Creative, Geometry Global, N2O and Havas Life Medicom.

2006 - 2008
job
Senior Graphic Designer
Ogilvy Action, Hampton Court, Surrey.
In 2006 Dialogue Marketing (part of the WPP Group) restructured its business. I was selected to join the newly formed Ogilvy Action as part of the Unilever Super Team, in recognition of my extensive knowledge of the Flora and Hellmann’s brands. During that time I managed the development and production of three Pan-European POS toolkits for Hellmann’s, as well as developing initial creative for a new Domestos website.

job
Senior Graphic Designer
Dialogue Marketing, Hampton Court, Surrey..
Joining Dialogue gave me the chance to work on global projects for the first time. I was responsible for both design and artwork of a variety of promotional materials for clients such as Gillette, McVitie’s and KP. In 2001 my design skills saw recognition and I was rewarded with a purely design based role. In 2002 I was promoted to senior designer. This coincided with the merging of design and creative teams and enabled me to play a vital role in developing creative output for projects such as Weetabix’s ‘House’ and ‘Virtual Games’ campaigns.

1994 - 1999
job
Graphic Designer / Studio Manager
Inkpressions Ltd, Bramley, Hampshire.
As with many small agencies the flexibility to perform different roles was important. I played an essential part in every stage of projects, from client briefings, research, storyboards and conceptual work, through to the production of print ready artwork. Projects included trade advertising, posters, corporate brochures and literature, direct mail, stationery and newsletters. By the end of my tenure I had achieved the extra responsibilities of Studio Manager, including trafficking and backup management.
