Senior Project Manager (Creative & Change Management)
S&P Global.
(contract)
S&P Global is an American company headquartered in New York. Its primary areas of business are financial information and analytics.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop project plans and execution strategies for all projects from initiation through completion
• Utilise a rigorous process of defining client requirements and project specifications
• Use formal processes and tools to manage resources, project purpose, clarify roles, tasks, milestones, budgets and measures of success
• Manage complex projects that cross multiple areas of a business, with minimal to no guidance from a more senior member of the team
• Manage project estimation activity including daily schedules, budgets, and deliverables
• Manage each project to ensure on time completion according to specifications and within budgeted costs
• Work closely with Creative Director to select core creative team, communicate approach, present plans and gain sign-offs
• Ensure resource strategy for specific tasks and to implement sourcing schedule to ensure workflow coverage and optimise talent
• Conduct project kickoff meetings within the creative services team to communicate roles and ensure all team members have the tools to perform effectively
• Part of the change management team, I was responsible for implementing new processes and tools, as well as managing team changes and stakeholders in the UK office
Achievements:
1 -Creative team Restructure - Key element in Creative team transition to a new structure, where the design team was relocated. I was brought to this role to make sure the new Creative team structure was smooth and all stakeholders were reassured.
I developed strong relationships with business partners and proactively made suggestions on improving processes.
2 - Workfront Implementation - Workfront was implemented as the new project management tool, to manage all jobs requests to the creative team. I have worked directly with the operations manager to make sure everybody, business partners and designers was trained, as well as providing on going support to all stakeholders.
3 - Magazine production - Known as one of the most complex projects requested to the creative team. This is a magazine that is produced 3 times a year, for different events organised by S&P. The editors and writers are always different, which means that every time a brief comes in, there has to be a process of training everybody in processes and tools used. Having such a varied team working on a project brings conflict of interests and communication wasn't always the best. I managed to make it a success, building relationships, implementing a project plan, rigorous timeline and regular meetings. Communication and trust improved, and we managed to produce a magazine that was a result of a collaborative attitude.
