I'm offering
I keep telling myself that one day I'll get a proper job. It just doesn't seem right that I've spent three decades doing what I love whilst having a laugh with some of the nicest people you've ever met.
Yes, there's been a lot of late nights and a few tantrums along the way, but what other industry actively encourages you to spend your day coming up with daft ideas - and pays you for doing it.
I've been working in this business for quite a while now and a lot of things have changed over the years, but my passion and excitement for it is still as strong as the day I wrote my first radio ad.

2013 - 2019
job
Creative Director
Pablo London.
Pablo offered an exciting opportunity. Having been employed for a freelance project initially, it soon became clear that we like each other and wanted something more than a casual relationship. So we started going steady and I joined as a Creative Director in September 2013. The agency went from strength to strength and is slowly becoming one of the most talked about brand agencies around today.
Clients worked on include:
Harvester, Toby Carvery, Somersby Cider, San Miguel, Hooch, Adidas, Kinder, Bargain Booze, Tim Hortons, NHS Blood Donation and Travelodge.

2006 - 2013
job
Creative Director
Publicis Chemistry.
After a long period of freelancing at Chemistry I was asked to join full time. I teamed up with an Art Director and we became the agencies biggest new business team - adding Emirates, Mars, BP and Kipling to the client list.
After merging with Publicis in 2011, I was promoted to Creative Director after winning their first new business accounts - Gu puds and Gatwick Airport.
Clients worked on include:
Emirates Airline, Gu Puds, Tassimo, Chivas, SCA, Transport for London, Yell, BP,
Mars, Mr Kipling, Smirnoff Black, Baileys and EE.

freelance
Freelance Writer
Partners Andrews Aldridge.
After nine years of being a full time writer it was time for a change. I decided to go freelance for a bit so that I could spend more time with my family. It was a good experience. I learnt more about myself and my capabilities as a writer.
Worked in many different places during my freelance time including:
Partners Andrews Aldridge, WWAV, Bright, Baber Smith and Fenix
Clients worked on include:
Vodafone, Lexus, Sony, Sky, Direct Line, Norwich Union and Lloyds TSB

2002 - 2004
job
Group Head
Carlson Marketing Group.
I was the writer that put the car into Carlson. As Brand Guardian on the agencies two biggest accounts, Citroen and Hyundai, I learnt every trick in the automotive book. It was also a great opportunity to learn more about running a creative department, both as Group Head and as acting Creative Director during a transitional period.
Other accounts worked on apart from cars:
Britannia Building Society, The Telegraph, Learn Direct and Stella Artois

job
Head of Copy
unknown.
2000 to 2002 M.B.O
No it's not a misprint. You'll notice M.B.O on the CV twice. What can I say, they wanted me back and I liked working there. Of course the position of Head of Copy and the bigger salary had something to do with it.
Accounts worked on this time included:
Britannia Music Club, Chrysler, Homechoice and the AA

1995 - 1997
job
junior writer
Grey Integrated.
(now Joshua)
My career as a writer started here after I sent a radio script to the creative director and asked him what he thought. He liked it and so did the client (and it pulled like a train). A few months later I was employed as a junior writer.
Accounts I cut my teeth on included:
Royal Mail, Canon, British American Tobacco and United Distillers
Awards
I've been lucky enough to pick up a fair few awards over the years, including the ISP, DMA and a Precision Marketing Awards Grand Prix.
