I love what I do. Building teams that deliver magic is brilliant. Over the last year at LOQBOX, I've transformed the development team, the marketing approach and our digital processes to be ready for investment, for growth and international expansion. This included a data-led growth plan, a new agile development team and process, data governance and security. My 24 years in the digital, advertising and marketing industry has taught me a few things: - How hard change is. Whether that's perceptions of a brand or the process your company uses. Humans are creatures of habit, and habits are tough to mould. But when you work out how you can - you can do amazing things. - The importance of understanding human behaviour. We're weird. We make weird choices. We rarely do what we say we're going to. - Talented people. Great people are hard to find. You have to work hard to hang on to them. - The amazing value of data. It's never been easier to understand the impact of what you do, and to change and then change again as you're proved right, or wrong. - The value of Agile as a way of working. Changing to work like this is incredibly hard - but worth it. - The value of value. It's a hugely competitive industry, increasingly driven by marginal cuts in rates and costs. It's never been more important to deliver real value not just T&M. - It's incredibly rewarding seeing the impact of your work - whether that's selling more, changing minds, informing, helping people, new processes and in some instances, changing lives. When I'm not doing that stuff - I'm probably chasing around Leigh Woods with my amazing wife, my two mad kids (7&9) and our lovely Labrador Cosmo.
