I'm offering
Sophie graduated from UCL with a Master’s degree in Natural Sciences, specialising in Neuroscience. With a love for healthcare, she has spent the past few years working as a technology consultant in the Life Sciences sector, exploring the intersection between science, health and technology.
She specialised in the Cyber Security team at KPMG London, where she gained a range of experience with multiple clients across Identity and Access Management, Business Continuity and Incident Management. Sophie is personable, approachable and highly driven, and has an innate ability to get on with people from all backgrounds and make them feel at ease with her.
Sophie is also passionate about making a genuine impact on people through her work, which she has channelled through numerous volunteering roles over the years; from youth offending to her role as volunteer co-ordinator at TEDxLondon.

Technology Consultant
KPMG.
Currently working within KPMG's Cyber Security practice delivering a privileged identity access management (PIAM)
solution tool to drive operating model transformation within a global pharmaceutical organisation. Through securing critical
assets, the work will ultimately ensure that drug manufacturing processes which help millions of people worldwide are not at risk of being compromised.
Main responsibilities have included:
- Managing end-to-end PIAM journey with client stakeholders, building and maintaining relationships with them
from initial application discovery stage through to on-boarding process:
o Designing and leading Discovery workshops with senior client stakeholders to gather data on
privileged accounts relating to applications used for Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance and manufacturing processes.
o Collaborating with and managing highly challenging technical stakeholders to define new privileged
access strategies and policies.
- Co-leading in a team of two to design and deliver a privileged account Inventory report across the top ten
highest-risk SOX applications. This involved:
o Conducting extensive quantitative and qualitative research into client's IT estate (incl. Windows, Unix, MS SQL, Oracle, AS400, HANA) to understand and address major gaps in PIAM financial security
controls, leading to the mitigation of privileged user account risk for 30,000 accounts.
o Acting as the key liaison contact to update senior stakeholders and presenting weekly updates to project sponsor, which involved interpreting project outputs for a non-technical audience.
o Led training sessions with the client stakeholder to upskill team and transfer over activities.
- Independently organising and leading social events both for my project team and collaboratively with the client, helping to boost and maintain team morale as well as foster and maintain client relationships.
