The VCF on VxRail solution simplifies and streamline Southern Waters IT operations, enabling the reduction of IT silos for Compute, Storage and Networking. The solution provided the capability to streamline networking and security operations by bringing consistency across, the two new DC's, and public clouds including AWS and Azure. It also increased speed and agility by automating networking and security services entirely in software, so IT and developers treat network infrastructure as code. Commercially VCF on VxRail will deliver Future Mode of Operation cost savings in excess of 30% over Current Mode of Operation costs. My role includes presenting the architecture vision to the Southern Water finance board and gaining funding for this project.
