Influencer Marketing Campaign Manager
PMYB.
Working as a Campaign Manager for PMYB has provided me with a lot of valuable experience within both the marketing
industry and the content creation one. My main responsibilities ranged from speaking directly with leading brands and high
profile influencers around the world, leading creative meetings to orchestrate content on platforms such as YouTube,
Instagram and TikTok as well as conducting a thorough analysis on social accounts to determine which influencer was right for each brand.
A key skill that I developed profusely during my time at PMYB was communication. Being able to communicate effectively with each influencer was an essential part of the role, as it was my responsibility to negotiate their fee and to relay feedback to them from the client surrounding the content they had produced. For example, if a client was very unhappy with a piece
of content that had been produced, it would be down to me to be constructive in the way I relayed this back to the influencer, ensuring that both parties remain as happy as possible and that the content delivered is to as high a standard as
possible.
At PMYB it was common practice for us to be running international campaigns and I personally have managed influencers
based in Germany, Holland, Belgium and France. Here I used Google Translate to effectively negotiate contracts, review
content and deliver instructions to influencers regardless of their native language. A prime example of this is my work for a
German fitness brand called HEJ Natural. I personally worked with HEJ Natural for over a year as we were able to consistently deliver such significant profit from our endorsements that we were able to retain them for this long period of time. My main roles on the HEJ Natural campaigns consisted of identifying German influencers, managing them and their
content as well as conducting reports at the end of each campaign. Additionally, I was often the main point of content for the HEJ Natural office in Germany, meaning I was responsible for client communications by updating them on our progress and ensuring that they were happy to continue working with us.
Aside from communicating with influencers and brands via phone and emails, I have also been asked to represent PMYB with clients face to face. An example of this would be when I took YouTube star EmanSV2 to the new Tottenham Stadium and helped him to shoot a video there. The video was an endorsement for the trading brand eToro and it consisted of Eman
playing hide and seek with his friends inside the stadium, whilst answering quick fire questions about the brand. To
conclude the eToro campaign, we also organised a pop up event in London where over 20 influencers came down, met with members of the public and created content. Here I had to oversee the content that was being produced and ensure that it
was in line with what the brand wanted, as the influencers could rarely stay for long so the content had to be perfect first
time.
As a member of a small, relatively new business I quickly became involved in all aspects of office life. For example, I was
often tasked with calculating the deliverables for a campaign. This involved working out the most effective way to split our
budget across a campaign, such as the number of influencers we would onboard and the style of content they would
produce. This was a huge responsibility as the success of the campaign would depend on us meeting the projected results within this budget.
Another responsibility I had at PMYB was compiling formal reports for each client at the end of a campaign. Here I would
analyse the results of the campaign, highlighting our learnings and informing the client how we would move forward if given
a follow up campaign. These reports were vital to the company's success as they helped us to secure long term partners like Ancestry, TikTok and HEJ Natural, both of whom continued to run campaigns with us for over 12 months.
During my time here I have managed campaigns using both paid and organic content to generate results for brands. I have also become very comfortable using software such as Social Data, Tagger, Social Blade and upfluence. It was common
practice for us to input campaign results into Excel Spreadsheets and I am extremely comfortable using all aspects of Microsoft Office.
Finally, whilst at PMYB I was able to demonstrate my knowledge of the industry by publishing blogs on the company
website. These blogs cover a range of topics within the influencer marketing field and are available to read upon request.

2018 - 2018
internship
Internship
United Nations.
Following a lengthy interview process and the submission of a 500 word written application, I was fortunate enough to be
granted an Internship working for De Montfort University to complete alongside my final year studies. The University are
currently working on a campaign called 'The Join Together Campaign', which seeks to support Refugees and Migrants around the world and my specific role has been to use media, and in particular social media, to promote the campaign and give the brand as wide a reach as possible. Upon my first week on the internship I flew out to The United Nations in New
York and attended a conference being held about the campaign and current migrant crisis. My job here was to document the event using the Universities social platforms so that people back in the UK would be able to follow the conference at home.
The most challenging and rewarding moment in this job, however, was the second visit to the United Nations in February the following month, as I hosted a chat series with the University Vice-Chancellor Dominic Shellard. The talk was streamed
live on facebook and over 2,500 people watched online and I feel the experience has taught me how to work well under
pressure and has helped me to become a confident public speaker. My job here was to answer unscripted questions from both the University Vice-Chancellor and from the audience about the importance of using social media in order to promote
a brand image, in particularly to promote the Join Together campaign. During this talk, I informed the UN of the vitality of providing young people with clear, concise and colourful information on platforms such as Twitter and Instagram in order to effectively convey information across as wide a scale as possible and give the brand maximum reach. I spoke at great
length about the importance of hashtags, trends, vlogging and the interactivity achieved through polls and sharing content
that can result in reaching a wider audience.
Whilst in the UK I have also worked hard to promote the campaign through podcasts, newspaper articles and video
interviews with migrants living within Leicester in order to raise awareness of the current issues affecting millions of people.
Our work on The Join Together Campaign was nominated for the 'Best Social Media Of The Year' award at the CIM
Marketing awards. Also nominated were huge brands like FOX TV and Barclays.
