Running gas contracts for many major housing associations including Ashfield Council, Nottingham City Council and Charnwood Borough Council and was responsible for approximately 50 engineers. I was responsible for meeting deadlines and targets. I was also running the reactive maintenance team that covered all the breakdowns over the various contracts. I used 18 engineers on a rolling rota and had to schedule their works with a minimum of disruption to the tenants, which included tenant liaison and mediation when targets were not met or tenants thought that their needs were not being met. I was supporting the engineers with some of the more technically challenging jobs and breakdowns, and generally making sure the contracts ran smoothly. I was responsible for the legally binding Gas Safety Certificates, making sure that dates were met and deadlines kept. I left this job for a promotion at another company after being approached by them.
