The Hunkydory Group.
The Hunkydory Group, is a market-leading and multi-award winning manufacturer of papercraft products, such as handmade greeting cards. I have been an employee for over 10 years at this Preston based company, where products are designed and manufactured in-house, and sold across many platforms: TV shopping channels; craft retailers around the world; as well retailing directly to the consumer.
In my current role, my key responsibilities are to work closely alongside a Director to produce 25+ pieces of printed media per year, including magazines, catalogues and handbooks. My duties and responsibilities in this role include:
• Managing a team of four (3 graphic designers and a purchase administrator), sourcing products, writing editorial, proof-reading to ensure accuracy, as well design reviews and critiques.
• Ensuring yearly schedules of printed media bookings are in place, and deadlines met from all parties.
• Proof-reading product data files to ensure accuracy and quality before website upload; pricing, offers, & product details must be perfect.
• Proficiently using in-house order processing systems to provide weekly sales figures across 8 revenue streams for the Managing Director, and using sales ratios and forecasting to generate purchasing figures.
• Extracting and cleansing addressee data to facilitate the mailing of catalogues to 10,000+ key account holders. This requires extensive Microsoft Excel use, including nested IF(AND)(OR) statements and strict adherence to GDPR standards.
