I’ve gained 10 years’ experience in automotive and mechanical engineering, driven by a desire to understand how things work (or don’t!).

I started out hands-on with vehicles and progressed into complex machinery design, manufacture and commissioning. Recently, I’ve also had the chance to gain experience in engine build design and specialist lifting equipment.

With design projects, nothing makes me prouder than making improvements, testing and seeing how something works. Getting the synergy between design and function right is what I thrive on.

I believe strongly in flexibility and being responsive to my customers’ requirements. This way, I can get to grips with a project quickly, find the root cause of problems, analyse possible solutions and devise processes quickly.

- Starting with a part, 2D drawings or even a basic sketch you’ve scribbled, I can quickly create a 3D concept for your project. I design for manufacture, so efficiency in manufacturing methods and costs are always paramount.

- I’m able to provide ongoing consultancy for your project rather than one-off product or design work. Technical meetings, research and manufacturing recommendations can be provided – typically for £7 – 12k per year.
- I have customers worldwide and undertake visits, commissioning trips and audits wherever required.
- Whether it’s a complete design for manufacture service you need or a small part of the process, my services are flexible.
