Earlier in 2019 I assisted in successful tender bid for a project in which TUSP's client won. I was then asked if I could produce a cost/resource loaded programme with a planning user guide and EMV manual.
The project value is £350m and currently in the RIBA stage 2 stage.
When taking this position, it was initially a stepping stone for a long term project, however this did not come to fruition and hence looking for work so soon.

Firstly, working on a mediation between two large contractors, the main issues with preparing this mediation pack was the lack of details from the contractor. Having to develop progress through various documents like emails, site report and photographs as period progress was not correctly updated.
The Second was a claim submission for arbitration, many induvial fragnet programmes were developed for cause and effect monitoring, utilizing "time impact" analysis method accompanied with detailed conclusion writeup.

The smart motorway utilises the existing hard shoulder as a new running lane, the scheme is a mixture of normal highways civil engineering works as well as new technology to enable safe running of traffic.
The scheme is 10km both 'London Bound' & 'Coast Bound' from Junction 3 (m26 slip) to Jn 5.
Carillion / Kier were awarded the contract, but Carillion went into administration, leaving Kier to deliver the scheme. The devastation of Carillion has added many issues which the team are now solving.
Duties include submitting the contractors programme under CL32, compensation events under CL62 and assisting in any recovery / potential mitigation to ensure key dates and full road closures are not affected. There has been many team workshops and additional meetings (previous meetings combined), the project has turned a major corner as all productivity rates are rising and is mirrored by the programme data.

I was brought in to re-align the programme to deliver the complex, one of a kind project.
TUSP have been commissioned to assist and resolve the programme / cost and project controls on a project which is the first of its kind. A mixture of both rail and power with the end client being Euro Tunnel.
On a EPC contract to delivery power through the Euro Tunnel which will enable the sale of power between France and the UK. The method for installation of the cable through the tunnel is a new system designed by the contractor, which has now been patented. It is a very complex project as there is both AC & DC power with needs converter stations on both sides of the Tunnel (UK & France).
The task for TUSP is to realign the contractor as it is a joint venture of two of its major operation arms of the business. Introduce new reporting procedures and lines of communications between all stakeholders to bring the project back on track in terms of time / budget / contractual obligations.
