QUALITY ENGINEER
NEWBURGH PRECISION LIMITED.
In October 2018, through no fault of my own, CTI let me go. It was at this time I took on the role of Quality Engineer at Newburgh Precision. In this role I was working with a newly appointed
Quality Manager. I was responsible for heading up and leading a new nuclear project that the
company had just won. I was responsible for all aspects of the project such as, all paperwork;
LQTRs, ITPs to ensuring all work was carried out the correct standard, liaising with the
customer and senior management. It was also my job to manage the NCR database, as well as signing off all products for particular clients, as they were leaving the building. I had to work
with third party inspection services to sign off particular products and ensure work was done to the correct standards. It was at Newburgh Precision, or later known as Vector X-Cel, that I won the AMRC TC MTA Apprentice of the Year Award 2019.

job
ASSISTANT QUALITY MANAGER
CASTINGS TECHNOLOGY INTERNATIONAL.
In May 2018, DavyMarkham finally closed after going into Administration in February 2018. I
was offered a position with the Atomic Weapons Establishment (AWE) but turned it down for a
position at CTI, so that I could finish my education at the AMRC TC. I applied for the Quality
Engineers role at CTI, but got placed in the Assistant Quality Managers role, with view to becoming Quality Manager and joining the Senior Management team, in the following year. I
was responsible for the day to day running of the QMS, as well as managing the NCR database,
liaising with customers, suppliers and senior members of the company. It was in this role that I
had to take on new standards and procedures such as NADCAP. I also learn how to effectively
complete FMEAs and furthered this through training with Rolls Royce, to effectively complete
PFMEAs.

QUALITY ENGINEERING APPRENTICE
DAVYMARKHAM LIMITED.
After finishing my first six months at the AMRC TC, I was placed into the Quality Department within DavyMarkham. It was here that I began to learn and understating the skills required for
the job in hand. I spent time in the inspection department, working with each inspector from
NDT inspection to CMM and Parts inspection. I go to learn a lot and understand where the flaws
were within the department i.e. communication. I worked alongside the Quality Engineer and became fluent in the following activities: Issuing and signing off suppliers, internal and external
transmittals, concessions and technical queries, review, amend and create documentation,
create and edit inspection and test plans, visit and assess, help maintain the QMS, interface
with client, project quality manage specific projects, running charity events, working with
charities, hosting charities, mentoring new apprentices, interviewing new apprentices, going to work place job events and running reception. The quality engineer and the quality director left, in January 2018 and I was left in charge managing four major projects and large nuclear
defence contract for the Atomic Weapons Establishment (AWE). It was in the position that I
excelled, and I believe came into my own, using everything of which I had learnt to successfully
hand over the project in May 2018.
