internship
Fundraising and events intern
Faith and belief Forum.
Generally:
• Received interfaith and avoiding conflicts training to confidently communicate with individuals of various ages.
• Performed various secretarial/administrative duties such as documenting, mailing, organising files and transferring matters to appropriate staff; also used Outlook calendar and to-do list to manage and prioritise workload.
• Set up and co-facilitated interactive workshops on how to present a story in relation to differing faiths, beliefs and cultures; I enjoyed this as I am an advocate for building interfaith relations, equality and diversity.
• Created a Donation form for prospective donors.
• Using a strong eye for detail to create communication materials for the organisations newsletter, social media platforms and the organisation's community fundraising page on their website.
• Actively led a community fundraising project by solely overseeing recruitment and communicating with relevant organisations and individuals to encourage and recruit participants. I therefore established and adapted proposals using the theory of change.
• Served as a point of contact for Gala invites and liaised relevant information and RSVP's, alongside the development and fundraising coordinator. Also, independently conducted research on prospect donors, individuals and organisations who fit the ethos, and would therefore be invited to attend.
• Displayed excellent organisations skills whilst preparing, inviting and sorting responses for the Gala event. Maintained progress of ongoing data entry, and pledges, through CRM Salesforce system and updating the organisations SharePoint drive.
• Worked with finance managers to organise gift aid donations, summarise the aspects of the past financial year, process payments, and created an expenditure outline for past events.
• Further assisted on budgeting for the upcoming financial year.
• Proposed new organisations of partners and donors and inputted donations into CRM systems to create an organized system where data is easily accessible.
• Created a presentation to show the organisations work and delivered pitches for pledge cards to be used on the night.
• Gained an understanding of the types of income generated by a small charity and worked with the communications team, and the development and fundraising manager, to formulate ways to generate public donations.
• Drafted and co-wrote a bid proposal for a Stage 1 application to a generalist grant making trust.
• During the intern led project, I planned and created an expenditure sheet for the event and worked with my team to organise the event and, promote it.

Wilkinsons superstore, Portsmouth and London
Main duties were to organise and priorities my time effectively to ensure that our targets, individually and as a team, were met; when workloads were larger on other sections, I would often be delegated to that department to assist on the delivery once my own work was done.
Generally:
• Maintained standards, when not serving customers, by replenishing stock and cleaning the sales floor.
• Ensured customers were aware of promotions, alternative products and most importantly that their needs were met.
• Actively pursued learning opportunities by seeking alternative job roles, developing my health and safety knowledge and customer service skills: maintaining a customer-focused environment.
