I'm offering
Ah, the hard part. I have to sell myself to you all by writing something witty, engaging and, of course, perfectly spelt. Talk about pressure!
What makes me different from everybody else? I'm not totally sure, because I haven't met or worked with every other copywriter in the world, but I can tell you some of the characteristics that keep my clients coming back to me.
I love a tight deadline and never miss them. There are no dogs eating homework in my office (though there is a rather smelly pooch that keeps my feet warm as I work), as I know that my deadline has a direct impact on your productivity. If I have to work late or over a weekend, so be it.
I also like a challenge. If you have a brief that would fill most copywriters with a sense of dread, I'll probably like it. A bit of research never hurt anybody and finding new and fun ways to get those important links into a post is what keeps me going.
I like to inject a little humour into my work, or you may call it 'edge', but I am just as happy mimicking existing tones of voice. It's a weird talent that I developed back when I was at university and it has come in very handy ever since. I've written for large brands, global film production companies and ghost-written posts for blog owners and nobody has ever detected a change in the style or language.
I'm easy to work with (so I hear!) and take feedback well. I'm not just starting out and I'm not so precious about my words that I can't accept critical feedback. If I'm writing on your behalf, it needs to be perfect for you, not me. Open communication is the best way and cuts out any awkwardness, which is why I am always logged into Skype, so clients can contact me straight away if there is an issue. Real-time resolutions are my preferred approach.
As for what I love to do...I'm passionate about food, dogs and plenty of other things that you’ll get to know about as we work together.
