previously Account Manager)
I developed integrated marketing campaigns for Volkswagen's small cars division including the best-selling Golf and Polo models, the Scirocco coupe and family-friendly Zafira. I was also assigned to the award-winning Unilever brand Marmite which included the project to reinvent the famous You either love it or hate it idea to successfully launch the brand's first significant NPD in over 100 years - Marmite Squeezy. Additionally:
• Research & insight: campaign development for both Volkswagen and Unilever involved extensive consumer research to test product design, audience insight and creative concepts. The years I spent on these accounts provided excellent training in research methodology, working directly with agencies in a variety of contexts and making strategic recommendations accordingly.

2012 - 2013
job
Associate Director
Scarlett Dyer Ltd.
After 10 years in advertising I took on a new challenge, joining a property management firm to build up commercial acumen in a business management position. I quickly realised the role wouldn't satisfy my passion for creativity and mass communications but during my time there I oversaw the rollout of new accounting practices and an improved client contact system.

2011 - 2012
job
Account Director
Abbott Mead Vickers.
on the Sainsbury's account
Responsible for running the brand team of the agency's flagship account: Sainsbury's. Projects included the development and launch of its new Live Well for Less positioning, the last ever Jamie Oliver Christmas campaign (one of the largest briefs in the agency) and the launch of the Brand Match price matching scheme. In 2011 and 2012 Sainsbury's outperformed the rest of the market, saw consistent improvement in value for money perceptions and achieved additional sales value of £138m. My key responsibilities included:
• Marketing strategy: I represented the client's business priorities within the agency and ensured the most creative and effective agency response in return. This requires balance and objectivity: for example when delivering the legally complex Brand Match price matching proposition it was key to ensure the brief afforded as much creative freedom as possible whilst remaining legally compliant
• Creative oversight: briefing the creative teams and ensuring the best response possible in line with the client's brand and objectives and championing the agency's work to the client
• Project & stakeholder management: responsible for managing multiple projects in parallel, establishing timelines and coordinating production workstreams across multiple channels to ensure delivery to time and on budget

Outside work:
I keep active by running, cycling, playing tennis and (ahem) gardening (mainly to support my love of good food). I enjoy making stuff and recently built a pizza oven from wood, bricks, sand, clay and sweat in my back garden. I like trying new things, and if I fall over, I pick myself up and go at it again.
