I have been working in publishing technology for the last 13 years, with the last 2 years working in software implementation and system training. I have a wide range of experience in IT Training, data quality, metadata distribution and indexing, data feeds and APIs, metadata standards and XML, client support and account management, client training (including running webinars), system configuration, system testing, and bug reporting.
Communication has always been a big part of my job, and I am a skilled communicator, with extensive experience communicating with people at various levels; whether speaking to clients with low levels of technical knowledge, or holding conference calls with Google engineers, about complex data issues. I am used to working closely with engineers, and have a working knowledge of HTML, XML, Python and SQL myself.

I work software implementations, with new clients, who have recently purchased a license to the Editorial Manager peer
review system. These clients are publishers, and my clients range from global corporations, to startups with only 5 staff. Most of these clients do not speak English as a first language, and have
limited technical knowledge, so I am very adaptable to their specific needs.
I run training webinars, to teach them the software, and its capabilities. I am also responsible for
getting their branded sites built and helping the client with the HTML coding/design. I also help
clients with system configurations, data transmittals (to other systems) and general technical
support. And when I'm not working directly with clients, I work on system testing and bug
reporting.
Other than running webinars, I'm also responsible for presenting at our annual client conference.
These presentations are typically technical in nature, 45 minutes long, and in front of an audience of about 200. So, I feel I'm a confident communicator.
