Deliveroo.
At Deliveroo, we consider ourselves to have three customers bases: the restaurant, the delivery rider, and the consumer. My role revolves around the former. I am responsible for managing a portfolio of c.400 independent restaurants and small chains, in and around the North of England.
In managing my portfolio, I am responsible for maintaining a good working relationship with these brands and promoting growth within the partnerships, by developing a number of key metrics. These include, but are not limited to: order volume, customer conversion rate, exclusivity, operational performance etc.
For the majority of these metrics, I would use Looker to identify low-performing brands, perform statistical analysis and deep-dive into the data to diagnose why they were not in growth. I will then arrange meetings with said brands to discuss the problems and give the solutions. It is also my job to follow up and ensure these are executed.
A big part of my role is ensuring that our key partners are working with us exclusively, and not with any other logistics food delivery company. This is to ensure that we are winning in every market. I am responsible for building good relationships with these restaurants and entering into negotiations, to ensure exclusivity. These negotiations would typically centre around commission rate, term length, marketing and setting SLAs. I have had good success with this aspect of the role and have signed up a number of high-profile, key partners on long-term contracts.
