I am an experienced freelance writer and editor with a BA (Hons) in English and an MSc in Science. I have published twenty-two books for schools and youth centres in Ireland for STS Education and Arcturus Publishing which cover issues such as bullying, depression, suicide, self-esteem, substance abuse and youth crime. I have worked on various ghost-writing projects for clients in the USA, UK and Ireland.

I have twenty years' experience of writing and developing training courses covering Sage book-keeping, CV preparation and interview techniques, job-hunting, telemarketing, assertiveness, personal & career development, organisational development, customer service skills, leadership skills and bullying in the workplace. I have written a number of ‘Start Your Own Business’ books for clients in the UK which required a considerable amount of research via the internet, public libraries, periodicals, magazines and one-to-one interviews with various professionals. I have produced e-learning courses for Learnfish (the online division of Happy Computers Ltd), Academy 10, Aspina and JTC. I have also written distance learning courses and training manuals which have been accredited by the ODLQC.

As a copywriter, I am experienced in the development of reports including end-of-programme summaries, company profiles and project outcomes and I also produce sales & marketing literature, newsletters, tender documentation, technical articles, statistical analysis reports, white papers and project proposals. I have produced brochures, sales letters, newsletters, press releases and web copy for numerous clients.

As a qualified freelance proof-reader and editor, I have worked on projects including novels, technical manuals, dissertations, marketing literature, sales letters and workbooks. I have a good working knowledge of type specs and page composition and an excellent knowledge of English grammar, spelling and syntax using both US and UK spelling.
