I'm offering
I am *that* friend who points out typos on restaurant menus...
I am reliable, not afraid of fierce deadlines and can manage the most uptight lawyer to rowdy teenagers. My varied employment history means I can communicate exceptionally well with different audiences and therefore adapt writing specific needs of each of my clients. I can write clearly, concisely and entertainingly in a variety of styles from informal blogs to authoritative legal articles and pitches. I am a stickler for detail, have professional-standard proofreading skills and enjoy researching new industries.
I am experienced with SEO and can ensure keywords are thoughtfully placed rather than randomly scattered which detracts from the readability of an article. My writing is comprehensive and at "eye-level" which makes it very easy to digest and internalize.
If you need to have a social media page, blog, website copy or a CV / covering letter rewritten, edited or proofread then please contact me to discuss how we can work together.

job
business development and marketing manager at Bird & Bird
International Corporate Practice Group.
I manage the marketing and business development activities for the International Corporate Practice Group, spread across 30 offices. Working together with the Practice Global Heads and Regional Partners, I develop, implement and review several BD initiatives for departmental streams including Corporate/M&A, Private Equity, Venture Capital and Equity Capital Markets. My role involves:
• Taking a proactive and positive approach to problem-solving and resolving complex issues in line with firmwide business strategy, for example making make the most out of our CRM systems and new software platforms.
• Initiating new targeting and cross-selling exercises as well as evaluating practice group strengths, conducting research on competitor activity whilst monitoring industry and market trends. This involves using creative strategies to reach wider targets, for example, I managed the launch of a digital hub for the UK high-growth community.
• Managing a large budget and closely monitoring R.o.I. for all spend on new or legacy projects.
• Delivering a new level of excellence with events. I follow (and set) best practice steps, resulting in record-breaking attendance at our flagship events. I enjoy coaching and helping lawyers feel comfortable giving presentations.
• Guiding fee earners on their own development, for example how to implement client relationship and BD plans, spot new opportunities and work together to improve the effectiveness of our client relationship programme.
• Managing juniors. I always position myself as a mentor and trusted advisor to other members of the MBD team and wider firm to encourage knowledge sharing and improve efficiency.
