My background is in advertising and creative media industries, where I have worked in Insight, Planning and Strategy departments for over a decade. I have most recently moved to publishing as an Audience Development Manager at Penguin Random House.
I also have a degree in Literature and Theatre and a recent first class Masters in Modern Literature and Culture. I have volunteered at various arts establishments, including The Poetry Society, The Moon Festival and Brighton Festival and am a reviewer for http://*********.*** I foster an interest in big ideas, topics and cultural themes both in my work (consumer trend analysis) and my personal life (I write a blog about notions of home).
As such, I bring a left brain/right brain mentality (what the IPA defines as logical/lateral ‘diagonal thinking’) to my work. I combine an analytical approach with a creative, curious mindset, and am known for my excellent eye for visuals and intuitive storytelling style that ‘makes the data sing’.

• Conducted an audit of DK's current consumer-based business needs, by
division and department. Presented findings and proposed strategy
(including best practice case studies) with roadmap to senior management.
• Set up and facilitated a series of consumer insight workshops with the 'Life'
division. Incorporated macro and micro trend thinking into more granular
segmentation and analysis. Developed stimulus and devised activities.
