I'm offering
An experienced senior IT professional who has held a wide range of permanent and contract posts in the utility, banking and insurance sectors including head of function on the Senior Leadership team of a FTSE 250 financial company. I am an experienced and certified Prince2 Project Manager.
I have a track record in building and managing technical teams and processes both on and off shore, ensuring achievement of commercial value and maximum effectiveness. I enjoy the challenge of transforming functions and facilities and taking both stakeholders and my teams with me on that journey.
I am mobile, confident, friendly, calm, assertive and able to balance logical analysis with the emotional appeal that wins commitment or changes perceptions.
I have excellent communication skills and have the ability to negotiate, foster, and build strong working relationships from operational to exec level essential for success.
I am a very business aware IT professional, with commercial acumen, supported by strong technical capabilities, skills and a broad understanding of the technical environment, which enables me to solve problems and mitigate risks and issues.
I decided to stop working in 2017, having achieved the financial independence to be able to do so and being needed to fulfill some family responsibilities.
However, having had an employment break and no longer needing to be at home I would like to return to work.

I took voluntary redundancy from this role as part of a company restructure.
Experience at DLG/RBS Insurance includes;
● Line responsibility for 10 sections with a total of 80 staff plus third parties globally, and a £52 million budget and strategy.
● As part of Head of Production Services I managed Application Management, Incident and Problem Management, Service Management, Service Introduction and Transition, Implementation and Change Management, Service Relationship Management, Telephony Services Teams, Business Continuity, User Access and Control and the Service Desk.
● Designed and upheld Service Introduction criteria and processes for Waterfall and Agile programmes and small change programmes.
● Senior IT Leadership Team member.
● Communication with Senior Business staff and board level reporting being a key aspect of the role.

Worked within the business and later IT at British Gas progressing from the regional service call centre to IT Programming, Analysis, Project Management and finally one of only 5 retained Account Managers nationally looking after internal pre sales activities, building business cases, achieving funding, defining systems and benefits etc. I remained as a member of the inaugural Public Gas Supply Leadership team.
