I took an outdated and not fit for purpose marketing function, overhauled all processes and systems, and built a team of four to ensure the college was ready for modern ways of engaging with students.
Role successes:
• Overhaul of lead generation, capture and follow up processes to engage a wide range of potential students. Reducing CPA by 87% in my first year of employment, web traffic went from a two-year flat profile to 16% continuous growth and the number of qualified leads from marketing activity increased by 50% per year
• Project managed the rebuilding of lcbt.co.uk, including scoping, design and engaging external agencies to ensure outcomes were in line with business and stakeholder requirements - this vastly increased functionality such as online enrolments, online payments, and maximised data collection opportunities
• Rebranding the college to widen appeal to new markets. This involved managing designers, making recommendations to the CEO, commissioning new decoration and signage as well as rolling out a new look for all marketing material
• Re-energised the external events and school engagement calendar. This was up from 9 events in the year before I took it over to 65 in the 13/14 academic year, and more than 130 in the 14/15 year
