Polaris is a professional submission grappling show which is broadcast to a live audience and streamed via PPV to fans worldwide. Polaris has just been signed to a 5 event broadcasting deal by the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) for exclusive broadcast on their Fightpass network.
My responsibilities are two fold; I arrange logistics, find the best hotels, flights, events and staff for the event, making sure all are within budget and forging relations for repeat business with providers. Scramble is a custom sportswear manufacturer which is heavily involved in the sport of Brazilian
JiuJitsu (BJJ). Formed in 2009, I joined the company in 2014 to help with business and logistical
operations. In the past 4 years, the company has gone from strength to strength, becoming a leading
name in the combat sports industry and sponsoring some of the most famous Athletes, both domestic and international.
My role includes:
Supply chain management - Overseeing product from concept to customer. I have worked with numerous freight providers to secure a very reliable supply chain at the best cost having negotiated
extremely competitive rates for our LCL and air shipping. Working to create the best margins I have
consistently reduced our freight and product costs allowing for greater profit whilst keeping within tight
budgets and forecasting projections.
ECommerce management - Responsible for managing online stores for our Scramble brand as well
as 3 other managed sub brands. In the past year I have successfully overseen the movement of all
our ECommerce stores from an outdated platform to a new WooCommerce platform with a
Wordpress front end. This has helped our wholesale business by streamlining the order process for
B2B customers and improving the look of the website for our retail customers.
Manage all wholesale business including building relationships with clients, organising the processing of wholesale orders, invoicing and managing payments.
Customer Service Management - Coordinate with a team and deal with all retail customer enquiries through a variety of social media and business platforms. Resolve customer complaints and enquiries
whilst providing top level customer service to help retain business and provide customer satisfaction.
Social media marketing - Set up and manage advertising and marketing campaigns which are run through print or online sources. This includes knowledge of PPC campaigns and advance targeting
through Adwords/Sense.
