Hi my name is Ashley Howell and I am an IT consultant specialising in spreadsheet creation, optimisation and automation.
Over my career I have worked within IT both in hardware and software, worked within finance and more recently within Project Management specifically around governance. Working amongst these areas have given me a unique insight and ability to use my problem-solving skills to understand my client’s needs, and be able to produce bespoke pieces of work that fit the customer rather than being an off the shelf option.
My main area of expertise is creating bespoke pieces within excel or Google Sheets that allow you to be able to become more efficient in your work and save money at the same time. Some examples of pieces of work that I have created for customers are:
• Project Management Suite (Fully functional Gantt chart, Dashboard, Work breakdown Structure, risk, issue and financial tracking and fully automated functionality between the different sheets)
• Stocks and Shares sheet that allows the user to get updated stock prices with a click of a button, allowing them to have an up to date portfolio without having to pay a subscription to a website
• International Tax Calculators
• Fully functional Project Resource Tracker (includes automated dashboard, ability to create bespoke graphs with information and ability to drilldown departmentally, by person or by project)
On top of this I have done translation pieces for some accountants to allow a way to pull the correct information from accounting software such as Xero into their own personal spreadsheet format.
I also provide training as well; this includes helping to bring staff members spreadsheet competency up to the standard needed within your company.
