Victim Support - Mental Health and Wellbeing Caseworker
unknown.
In this, my current role, I support Victims of Crime who suffer with Mental Health problems across North wales. Having been assessed by a Victim Care Officer, victims are referred to me for emotional and practical support. I spend time with them allowing them to talk through their feelings and help them to access specialist support and services. I work with people who are in crisis and who are sometimes suicidal, so I spend a lot of time working with CMHT's, the Police and other third sector organisations. I have also recently started recruiting volunteers to support me in my role and to allow more victims to receive support.
