I am a Qualified Architectural Technologist, graduating from University with a class 2.1 honours in 2013. I have been working with 2D AutoCAD since 2007, and am now proficient with many years experience using both model and paper space. I can create drawings from hand sketched survey notes, through to proposed projects in the construction sector and also as-built drawings. My career so far has been in the domestic sector of the Architecture industry, where I have produced both Planning and Building Regulations drawings for projects ranging from small household extensions to new dwellings. I am capable of working with third party drawings, transferring information, for example, onto dwg files issued by an Engineer.
Additionally, I have a solid knowledge of the construction industry as a whole, and have over ten years’ experience in this trade.

I have worked mainly office based but have also spent lots of time on site, problem solving and also meeting Clients to discuss their brief. This has also extended into communication with both Planning and Building Control Officers, Contractors and their trades, as well as liaising with Engineers (structural and otherwise). Although AutoCAD is the foremost computer software which I use, I also have sound all-round computer knowledge in working with Office programmes such as Word and Excel.

The role I am looking for is a home-based AutoCAD Technician, producing any 2D drawings which are required remotely for the project. I am experienced the most in the domestic Architecture sector, although I am always willing to learn new skills across other professions where appropriate.
