To put simply, I am a qualified translator completing high-quality on-time translation assignments. With over 19 years in the field, ranging from voluntary work translating texts for a local charity to paid-for projects from a London-based building consultancy Malcolm Hollis, I offer a breadth of experience and expertise.

My greatest strengths include a native-level command of both languages, a meticulous approach to detail and excellent time management skills, all complemented by a knack for successfully building a rapport with my clients.

On the one hand, I have lived in England for over half of my life mixing with native speakers and immersing myself in the local culture and the country’s linguistic peculiarities. On the other hand, I spent my childhood and adolescence in a Russian-speaking country being exposed to the Russian language on all levels, not least education-wise. I continue to actively speak and write in Russian.

Moreover, I often travel to Russia on business or to see my relatives, watch Russian TV and read various Russian publications. I strongly believe this gives me an edge over my competition as I stay equally up-to-date both culturally and linguistically in England as well as Russia. Being selected for a collaboration project with Sunlink, a Tula-based telecoms company, is nothing short of proof.

In my work, I heavily rely on Computer Assisted Translation tools such as SDL Trados and SmartCAT for speed, efficiency and consistency. I take my professional development very seriously and keep tabs on the ever-evolving trends and developments in the translation industry by attending day events and watching industry webinars.
