What I've achieved so Far:
Since joining Old Mutual I have been responsible for ensuring clients accounts are managed on a quarterly basis. I have gained knowledge of the stock market, learning about restricted securities, cash premiums, fees and withdrawals, corporate actions and the trading of assets. I have been trusted individually to reconcile high risk client accounts and to concentrate on backlog items where we have trouble reconciling the policies. In 2014 I became a 'bancs champion' which led to me gaining knowledge of our new system before migration, raising defects and testing once complete. Upon migration, I was responsible for re-writing the processes for the department in addition to coaching all staff how to use the new system. Since then I have been our teams representative for all IT related escalations and testing new software to ensure that it is in full working order before deployment. I have recently been trusted to 'lean' the Charges process which lead to a process taking 3 months to 6 weeks whilst seeing double the amount of charges owed being received. I am currently working on leaning the Transfer process. In addition to this I have been working on writing requirements and testing for a new system that is coming in. Within this role it has allowed to me grow in confidence working as part of a team, and also working on my own initiative by being given new tasks to expand the business and client trust.
