I'm offering
Hiya, I’m Tom…
… and I’ve worked with global brands, pioneering start-ups and award-winning agencies across UX, product, design and leadership to create user focussed, clean and elegant digital solutions.
I specialise in Product Strategy, Research & Testing, UX Architecture, Prototyping, UI Design.
I worked in-house at hyper growth UK fintech starlet HABITO across multiple roles; UX Lead, VP Product & VP Design. Sitting on the senior leadership team, I defined, designed and led the user experience and product thinking across multiple customer facing and back office squads whilst growing and managing the in-house design team as we hit over £1bn of mortgages,
My agency experience comes by way of NEVERBLAND where I was Product Lead, delivering bar-raising digital products for the likes of Bulb, Fnatic, Jukedeck, Feast-it and +rehabstudio where I worked as UX Lead with global brands such as Google, YouTube, Samsung, Red Bull, Disney and Ace Hotel.
I cut my chops at Microsoft, where I spent nearly 4 years learning corporate 101 in Microsoft Advertising as a Technical Engineer, with highlights being a member of the High Performance Programme and working in Seattle for 6 months.
In 2013 I was awarded MSc Multimedia Distinction from the University of Westminster, and in 2008 I completed with Honors, Upper Second Class (2:1) in BSc Multimedia Computing.
Right now, I’m bringing all of that experience together to help early stage start-ups, scale-ups and tech-enabled businesses excel in their digital execution. I am equally happy working on a per project basis, joining an established team or engaging in a longer term retainer.

job
UX Lead | VP Product | VP Design
Habito.
I joined Habito in February 2017 as UX Lead when the company had 22 employees and had been live for only 6 months.
Over the course of the next 18 months I led, designed and delivered projects to re-
design the homepage, mortgage calculator and customer onboarding experience,
design and copy-write the digital mortgage advisor chat-bot and fact find forms,
design and develop the mortgage expert back office tools, design a customer
mortgage application dashboard and design an integrated Life Insurance product.
As Habito grew I took on the role of VP Product; liaising closely with engineering to scope, plan and deliver spring based work, alongside designing the ux, delivering
wireframes and prototypes. I later transitioned to the VP Design role where I grew and led a team of 4 UI/UX designers. In both of these roles i sat on the Senior
Leadership team.
