Konica Minolta.
Konica Minolta is a $10Bn optics, healthcare, metrology and material sciences company
headquartered in Tokyo, Japan. In 2012, four Business Innovation Centres (BIC) were formed to research and build the next generation portfolio for the corporation and I hold a senior role in the
European BIC. Key technologies include semantic engines, deep multimedia search, surgical
technologies, augmented reality and multimodal sensing.

an executable augmented reality platform in Europe with full Senior Executive support and launched in October 2018
Identified unique market position for IoT-driven digital signage within workplaces, extending
common Content Management Systems into multi-agency licensing platforms and coupling with large-scale image projection. Currently in design phase for development sprint. Negotiated a two-
partner strategy, one in Brazil and the other in Sweden to go to market with sensing-based
occupancy technology to improve workplace experience and build a smarter layer of workplace
services for Konica Minolta.
Built a community of 130+ startups and academics to co-develop next generation solutions across Europe - live projects include augmented reality, smart environmental sensing and deep search across video material, contributing to new high value business
Managed the investment associated with 3 startups (2 successful) in excess of €1M in Europe which accelerated near-term strategy for the corporation. This involved renegotiating convertible
loans between European partners and legal representatives.
