Jesse Quinones is an award winning writer/director/producer with ten years experience in the film industry working across factual, fiction,and commercials both as a practitioner and as an educator. He is a Patron of the British Urban Film Festival.

Jesse lectures at SAE Institute and Met Film School, and has also taught at numerous institutions across the UK including London Metropolitan University, Brighton Film School, and the Actor’s Centre.

In 2018 No Shade, which he Co-Produced, opened the British Urban FilmFestival to wide spread acclaim. In 2013 he completed feature film Calloused Hands. Calloused Hands stars Andre Royo (HBO's The Wire), Daisy Haggard (Showtime's Episodes), and Hans Howes (There Will Be Blood). It premiered at the Miami International Film Festival, and has gone on to screen in over 20 festivals around the world, picking up numerous awards. It was picked up by Kino Lorber and received its North American release in March 2014.

Jesse is currently developing his next feature film Cagefighter, a British set sports drama, with actors Josh Herdman, Andre Royo (The Wire) and Kierston Wareing attached to star. He is also developing Rom Com El Mar with Cuban ballet star Carlos Acosta, and is producing 300 Yards To Home about the complex life of former boxing champion Glenn McCrory.

Jesse is a Patron of the British Urban Film Festival and also serves as a film critic on radio show Meet The Critics on Colourful Radio.

Jesse is an alumni of many labs and fellowships including the SOS Writing Scheme, BBC Writers Festival Skylight Scheme, Berlinale Talent Campus, HBO sponsored NALIP Latino Writers Lab, NALIP Latino Producers Academy, BBC Writers Room, B3 Media Talent Lab, Royal Court Young Writers Programme, and the Soho Theatre Writers Attachment Programme.
