Daniel Solomons was born in Madrid in 1977. He grew up between Madrid and London and he remained in the latter many years. He studied Graphic Arts at the East London Advanced Technology College. In 2004 he moved to Malaga where he was Founding Director of a contemporary culture space. In 2005, he represented Spain in a project financed by the European Union with artists from different European countries at an urban installation in Rome and Basilicata. Daniel is currently living in London.
He has shown his work in many cities including London, New York, Rome, Chicago, Miami, Madrid, Valencia, Sevilla and Malaga amongst others, both in galleries as well as Institutions, Museums and he has won several national and international prizes and awards.
The MUPAM published a book on his work entitled “In between”, where the artist also, by way of minimalist poetry makes references to symbolist poetry, architecture and urbanism that are reflected in his work.
Renown Art critics have written texts on his work.
