I joined Worksome in June 2019, and am excited to be part of this growing community.

I have most experience in taking a project through from initial conception from people who may not understand programming(!) and create what they need a reality to make their life easier. Using my marketing background, I usually end up including a few things they may not have thought about.

I learned to program in 1994 to solve a communication problem between US/UK development, sales and marketing departments whilst I was Director of International Marketing at a software house.

As a consultant, my marketing & coding background has allowed me to give start-ups/SME clients a complete solution, including developing a marketing plan, website, search engine optimisation (SEO), social media strategy, advertising, branding, marketing assistance, together with designing data architecture and developing web applications.

I have produced full-stack web applications using LAMP+Javascript as varied as CRM and lead reporting, messaging, diaries, event organisation, inventory, data analysis, warehousing, accounts, Point of Sale (POS) systems, sales reporting and exposing (creating) & consuming APIs. All sites are optimised and multi-platform tested, using a mobile-first approach. I code my own MVC/PHP Framework but have used CodeIgniter, dependent on client’s wishes.

In the past few years, I have designed and produced web applications for a wide range of clients from politics to law. I am a past winner of the European Boat Brokerage Website of the Year Award and was honoured to be awarded an MBE in 2017.
