With my skills as a Project Manager and experience in Highway Maintenance, I believe that I will become a valuable asset to any project or scheme. With a strong background Local Authority, 3.5 years in the private sector in Highway Maintenance and a First Class Honours Degree in Civil Engineering Degree, thrive on challenges.

I am a naturally driven individual, always striving to do better and improve personally and corporately. I enjoy being able to see tasks to fruition and take great pride in my work. I am computer literate, (operating the Confirm system within ERYC and Symology/Insight at NE Lincs Council and Balfour Beatty). I am also very capable using AutoCAD, Excel, Project and Word. What I don’t know, I can ask!

Having secured my HND and subsequently my First Class Honours degree in Civil Engineering, I am committed to a career in Civil Engineering. I enjoy the interaction on site and problem solving and management. With on the ground experience I will become a valuable asset to any team.
I really enjoy surveying and leveling, but unfortunately do not get as much opportunity as I would like in my current position, so have taken a refresher course.

I have been responsible for H&S, RAMS, s278 and s38 works, snagging on adoptions, resurfacing, micro-asphalting, pre-patching and surface dressing and tech screeding. I have a practical knowledge of the Highways Act 1980, NRSWA 1991, Traffic Management Act 2004, this includes streetworks noticing, TTROs, traffic management and programming. I am confident carrying out task briefings, inductions and toolbox talks.
I comply with and mentor my team in CDM, HASAW and quality management, site inspections and breaches. Safety and getting everyone home each night is my primary objective.
In close communication with contractors, I manage schemes that are contracted out, ensuring parity with our standards and policies. I excel at coordination with Stakeholders and Elected Members, Parish Councils and other bodies, including adjacent authorities and Highways England. I attend LCRIG events in an attempt to embrace new technologies and cross boundary working.

My positions included HR duties - absence monitoring, recruiting and disciplinaries, along with steering groups, mentoring, Dignity at work and implementing processes and procedures.
