I am a PhD student in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Surrey.
Within the frame of a collaborative project with Bolivian entities, my PhD research focuses on the use of satellite imagery for the reconstruction of the lake Poopo catchment (South America, Bolivia) conditions throughout the last three decades. The evolution of the water extent, natural and agriculture vegetation and soil moisture conditions in the catchment are being determined. Evapotranspiration losses have been assessed, and the trends of the retrieved parameters, analysed.
