I am an experienced and qualified digital marketing and product specialist, with over 9 years experience in both B2B and B2C industries. I started my career in the media industry at Haymarket Media group, where I developed my analytical and direct/performance marketing skills, across 13 brands in multiple countries. Since then I have worked in both in-house and agencies, working across a range of industries such eCommerce, events, charities, start-up/VC (Fintech, Edtech), leading the digital and product strategy and development. My time at the agencies have developed my communication skills as I worked with multiple teams such as design, development, content, and also working closely with key stakeholders – imagining scenarios and describing them in a better and efficient way depending on whom I am corresponding with. My attention to detail is immaculate, which allows me to suggest/recommend multiple solutions to the problems we are facing.
Whilst working within a VC (as a Digital Product and Strategy Lead), I successfully worked with stakeholders at all level (CEO, CFO, PM’s etc) to take their idea from concept to delivery, whilst also leading the go-to-market strategy - in what was a very fast paced and time sensitive environment. I have led agile teams of product execs, designers and developers, to help the start-up businesses either take an early idea from concept to market or build on a product to improve customer experience (e.g. feature prioritisation) and market growth.
My most recent role was as the lead product and project management of a greenfield project at the British Council, helping them develop an online English learning tool for B2C customers. I defined, developed and executed the digital marketing and business strategy to deliver a skype-style learning prototype in France, Vietnam and China. Each of these markets required me to understand and develop different value propositions and messaging, based on the analytics and research I carried out. I was the main point of contact and had to coordinate with all stakeholders in the different markets, as well as working with teams such as Information Governance and risk, legal and tax, to ensure that we met all the individual requirements for those markets.
