I am a reliable, hard working and positive graduate seeking a role that allows me to develop new skills and
challenges my existing knowledge. I have a creative eye, excellent communication and attention to detail, enjoy being part of a team but am capable of working independently. A fast learner who is approachable and motivated to succeed.
Alongside my final year project at university, with 14 other students, I actively participated in the organisation of the Coventry Industrial Design Degree Show. I produced marketing material that promoted fundraising events and created a cohesive aesthetic that was carried through the entire show and all material both off and online. Being on the Degree Show committee whilst also working on my personal project required me to have great time management skills and organisation to ensure all tasks were completed to a high standard and in a short space of time.
Through my design studies, I have learned how important it is to take the user into account. Having this background knowledge is vital and I feel would allow me to relate well to a company that holds tradition very closely and is focused on providing functional and superior products for their target market.
Whilst participating in an industry project, I was able to take a brief set as a group and create a unique product and experience for a target market by identifying trends and investigating multiple alternative solutions. As I have completed multiple projects, I have developed my ability to move from 2D sketches though the design process to 3D models, allowing scale and alterations to be efficiently resolved.
Whilst working both individually and as part of a team, I have ensured that I have reviewed my own work and received feedback from my target audience to ensure that my understanding and design were aligned.
To enhance my knowledge I completed extra modules including Adobe Creative Suite, this has enabled me to constantly improve and feel confident utilising Photoshop, Indesign and Illustrator. After finishing University I have continued to expand my skill set by educating myself in alternative software including After Effects, Premiere Pro and Rhino.
During my professional and education career I have enjoyed working as part of a team and independently. I believe that learning from others and offering my own knowledge creates a positive working relationship and builds towards successful and informed design.
