My skills in written and spoken communication have flourished through the valued and varied roles I have obtained in journalism, marketing, and communications. All of which have required me to communicate carefully and concisely for a range of audiences.

In my most recent role, I was the Editor and News Journalist for a leading international B2B publication. I delivered effective content strategies which boosted engagement and secured ad revenues, whilst leading a team of journalists, graphic designers and freelance writers to implement the product from inception to delivery under tight, rolling deadlines.

I consistently broke international news and exclusives across all media platforms and produced high-quality, SEO content that represents the company's esteemed brand. Whether in print, online, or at events, an increasing number of executives and management rely on the news, views and features that I produced, to keep them fully informed about the latest industry developments.

I regularly conducted interviews with major industry players in person and over the phone; created newsletters; managed website and magazine aesthetics via Adobe InDesign; regularly organised and undertook international editorial trips; live reporting; video creation for social media; edited photos via Adobe Photoshop and professionally represented the company at conferences and events.

My passion for digital media and strong writing skills assisted in the growth of the company's social media channels. I developed a sturdy social media following which stimulates online interaction and generates considerable traffic to the company's website, directory and conference pages. This has also included risk management and the adoption of protective measures to avoid reputation damage.

Through the monitoring and analysis of performance metrics, using Control Management Systems, I can evaluate the effectiveness of content, identify under-represented business devisions and create reports to improve future strategies.

Every four to six weeks I would plan and execute independent national and international editorial trips, whereby I visited clients out in the field to build relationships, conduct interviews and advocate the company. I also attended between two and three international conferences per year with the conference team. I helped to organise and set up the events, conducted live reporting and professionally represented the company.

In 2016, alongside my university studies, I volunteered part-time as a Marketing and Communications Assistant for FareShare Cymru, an independent, non-profit organisation, which addresses food poverty and food waste in the UK. During my time with FareShare, I took the initiative to implement case studies which shared the experiences of homeless and older people in order to raise awareness of how valuable the FareShare service was to their circumstances. In doing so, I was able to inspire other volunteers to get involved, encouraged charity support, captured the attention of the media and urged supermarkets to make food donations.

I am a diligent individual who maintains a sense of humour whilst ensuring tasks are completed both concisely and proficiently.
