Following a BT career spanning over 30 years I have recently taken voluntary redundancy to look for new event opportunities outside of BT.

I’m self-motivated and results driven and have a keen eye for detail. I’m a vastly experienced event management expert having delivered many hundreds of events. This includes exhibition presence, hospitality, conferences, incentive trips, team events, in the UK and overseas, during a long and successful career in BT.

I have an excellent understanding of wider marketing disciplines and sales having held positions in Campaign Management and Marketing Communications. I’ve embraced modern marketing techniques via platforms such as Eloqua and Salesforce to continuously improve the end-to-end delivery of the events I manage.

My key skills are excellent organisational and project management, flexible approach and ability to meet deadlines within budget. I enjoy leading projects but am equally happy working as part of a team. I have an ability to build productive relationships at all levels - both internally and externally. An important skill I have is calmness under pressure particularly in a customer facing environment.

My written and oral communications are good and I’m well known as someone with a positive attitude, always willing to support others whenever and wherever needed - and am not afraid to get my hands dirty to ensure a project is delivered to the highest possible standard. I’m also a good negotiator when it comes to getting the best possible value from suppliers.

I have an extensive and proven track record in the execution of events and campaigns that delivered tangible results for BT throughout my career. But I’m never complacent; I’m always looking to simplify or improve the way I work and share that best practice.
