I am currently reviewing and bringing Sandy Haven Resort in Jamaica, in line with current SEO guidelines which includes a revamp of their current website (both mobile unfriendly and not https enabled). The new website will be siloed accordingly and each page optimised for on page ranking signals. The new site will launch in March 2019 and will include a new live chat feature and upgraded booking engine.

An Area Guide Database
Addiction Helper.
They wanted to create a nation wide database of addiction-related services. A huge job that required a team to extract the entities for each county (stage 1), a team to build the database functionality, a designer, copywriter and SEO manager to create the semantically optimised content plan.
My role was to bring this altogether, manage the data for each county and then format it into a csv file, along with the images for each rehab/addiction related entry.
I was then tasked with uploading the content for each area into wordpress using ACF (advanced custom fields), test and optimise for best on-page signals, and then internally link nearby counties.
Pages were checked with screaming frog for technical seo issues and fixed.
Phase 2 involved mapping out the whole process again, but for 3 of the biggest towns and cities in each county.
Phase 2 involved internally linking the towns to the counties, as well as the url structures. Schema was added to each page to map out each entity (town).
Phase 2 was completed on the development site and then deployed to the live, vigorous auditing was done at both ends.

I was contacted to find ways of bringing more traffic to their website. As a business thats primary focus is local customers, the priority was to get them to position 1 for 'horseback riding jamaica'.
By optimising the homepage and Google my busiess listing, implementing citation/directory listings and fixing the site structure, they are now ranking position 1 within the local pack on Google (in 2 months)

Brexit and the link building strategy

Currencies are a UK based currency exchange brokerage. My role was to build links and attract content coverage for the brokers.
Brexit provided a lot of.opportunities for content (and links). Using response source (a gorkana alternative), twitter and expat community sites, I was able to build the company on average 10 links per month from DA websites of 30+
80% of the content for those links was created by myself, having covered the Brexit debate for many months.
With links going to their live exchange rates page, they soon became positioned 2 in the UK which generated several hundred page visits a day.
