I’m Alex, a creative content professional who is full of energy and adventure. After studying Sociology at the University of Leeds, I traveled around South America for 4 months before heading to Australia where I landed my first fashion communication role at The Ark Clothing Co. I got as much experience as I could with my Working Holiday Visa before returning to the UK, where I was in a transitional role as Stylist with Gibson & Birkbeck in Scotland. My next goal was to make a base in London, where I’ve been working for Stella & Dot for the past 3 years. I am now ready for a new challenge, to build on my copywriter skills, and shape a strong creative content portfolio.

Communications Manager of Europe
Stella & Dot.
I was hired as a communications specialist for Stella & Dot, a direct selling company empowering women to style their own lives through jewellery, accessories, and apparel. In my first year, I increased the open rate of their weekly newsletter by 10% and through targeted email campaigns and MEP text services, I increased the attendance of their quarterly training conferences by 26%.
These achievements, along with my hands-on approach, led me to beat all of my OKRs. In 2016, I received a promotion to Stylist Development Associate and in 2017, I was promoted to Communications Manager of Europe, responsible for all of the Stylist facing copy and content, marketing campaigns, field training, and events management.
A project I’m proud of;
I led the team that launched the website for our biggest event of the year, a conference for over 600 Stylists across Europe. I managed this project from concept to design; including copy, branding, and web development. I then had to present our social media strategy and training content live on stage.
