A highly adaptable passionate professional currently finishing up my accreditation studies in AAT level 3, advanced diploma in Accounting. I have experience with double entry bookkeeping, processing sales invoices and producing payment list for suppliers, bank reconciliations, VAT return preparation and more.

In previous and current roles I have been responsible for ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately using Sage 50, recording entries up to the trial balance, whilst the accountant then prepared the statement of profit or less and statement of financial position from these entries.

As a bookkeeper, my main role was to keep an official track of company spending so when it comes to filing accounts there is an accurate trail of all the companies’ cash flow. Some of my daily activities consisted of balancing accounts using the double entry system processing sales invoices, receipts from card and cash sales, the payment cycle, processing employee expense claims and completing VAT returns.

I have also been responsible for payroll duties. Using the managers’ report of total hours worked by each employee I have I have used excel spreadsheets to prepare the biweekly pay for each employee and then follow up using sage payroll. I then used bulk pay in the business bank account to make payments to all members of staff.

I also have significant amount of experience working in customer service and administration support. Through this I have shown that I always provide the best customer experience, I get on with my work accurately with minimal support.

In all my roles I have been responsible for a high workload and so my prioritising skills have made a significant difference to managing my workload. This has included several tasks from taking phone calls in a professional manner, sending out appropriate emails, organising staff meetings and other duties as and when required. I have worked alongside a diverse group of people and have managed to build and maintain strong working relationships in any position that I have found myself in.
